Matilda Yoo founded THE PAPER WHALE in 2009. Her background in Graphic Communications Management and her experience in producing print for various ad agencies enabled Matilda to create THE PAPER WHALE’s first set of note cards and Polaroid cards in Spring 2010. Matilda’s simplistic style is mainly applied in creating unique paper products that exude a clean, crisp feeling. As keepsakes become scarce, Matilda finds romance in creating artistic pieces that have multiple functions. But it’s the simple joys of rough textured paper in hand while seeking out dusty golden days and indigo hued nights Matilda loves most.
